KHC Supports Kentucky Equine Rescue Organizations
In addition to the SOHO fund, Safety Net, Hay Horse Help Hotline, and various other Health and Welfare programs, the Kentucky Horse Council is committed to supporting the efforts of Equine Rescue Groups throughout the state. 

In March 2008 the Horse Council facilitated a networking meeting for all Kentucky Equine Rescue organizations.  Participants discussed the needs and challenges of rescue facilities and identified key areas of desired support.  In June 2008 the Kentucky Horse Council will host another Equine Rescue Group Meeting to further address the needs of Kentucky Equine Rescues.  If you would like to receive announcements about the Equine Rescue Group Meetings please contact us.

There are several rescue facilities in the state of Kentucky.  The Kentucky Horse Council recognizes that each rescue organization has a unique mission and philosophy.  The Kentucky Horse Council does not make any promise of expertise or facility quality of the rescue organizations listed on this site.  Please use your own judgment before offering a horse to any rescue facility.  Please click here for a list of Kentucky Equine Rescues.
