The Kentucky Equine Networking Association (KENA) is an educational and networking event for equine professionals in Kentucky, targeted specifically at those who participate in breeding and reproductive services, instruction, training, board and showing. KENA also welcomes every member of the Kentucky horse community. KENA is managed by the Kentucky Horse Council KENA Committee, chaired by Dr. Ed Squires of the University of Kentucky Equine Initiative.
Meetings:
KENA meetings occur every other month, and offer a social hour with cash bar and dinner (responsibility of the attendee) where qualified guest speakers present on topics of current interest in the areas of horse health, nutrition, facilities management, labor, safety, welfare, sales, marketing and business management, among others. They are currently scheduled only for Lexington, Kentucky although plans are to increase coverage throughout the Commonwealth in the future.

KENA participants gain insights into all aspects of equine health, facility management and business promotion. The exchange of ideas and dissemination of information through KENA involvement provides benefits for our horses and create opportunities to improve business development and profitability.
The Goals of KENA:
More informed horse professionals build a stronger equine economy in Kentucky. In addition, active networking assists in breaking down barriers between different disciplines and reinforce the commonalities between horse professionals. The ultimate goal of KENA is to expand and improve our equine economy in the state with well-educated and well-connected professionals. Supporting the horse economy is one of the Horse Council's main objectives.
How You Can Be Involved:
As an equine professional, just let us know of your interest in KENA by SIGNING UP FOR OUR ENEWS BELOW. Recreational and competitive riders are also welcome in KENA, as are providers of equine services and products.
Membership in KENA:
KENA is not a membership group. You simply attend dinners and pay for your attendance. Kentucky Horse Council members get a discounted dinner price ($5 discount) so membership in the Kentucky Horse Council helps defray costs.

Sponsorships are available for the Kentucky Horse Council, with a KENA focus.
