Some of the best experiences leaders have is when they can "compare notes" with officers from other equine associations, sharing ideas and tips on solving problems or devising creative solutions for fundraising or volunteer engagement, etc. Through the Kentucky Breed & Discipline Council, you will have the opportunity to make those connections.
Be recognized as the "go-to" organizations for polling of opinions, assisting with getting information out across the state, and more.
Part of the job for all of us is to move Kentucky forward by informing each other across the state of opportunities, promoting each others' activities (shows, trail rides, competitions, meetings, scholarships, etc.) as well as representing the voice of the horse community to local and state policy makers. KHC uses our member equine associations as the go-to organizations to get all of this done.
Voting
Equine Association Memberships are currently non-voting, but a bylaws change planned in 2012 will re-evaluate voting assignments.

Association members must be a membership based equine club or group with a board of directors
Use of the KHC Logo
KHC member associations may use the KHC logo with the words: "
Member of the Kentucky Horse Council". Please contact the office for a high resolution digital copy of the KHC logo. KHC does sponsor classes and events and only when an agreement is made between both parties can the KHC name or logo be used with the words sponsor or the implication of sponsorship. If you have questions about using the KHC logo please contact the KHC office by
email or call 859-367-0509.
