NTRA Alliance Names Adena Springs Retirement Program as Best Practice

The NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance has named the Adena Springs Retirement Program as a featured Aftercare Best Practice. Started in 2004 by Adena Springs owner Frank Stronach, the program has seen almost 200 horses transition to second careers with new owners.

"Adena Springs has shown exemplary leadership in the industry when it comes to caring for horses once their racing careers are over", said Mike Ziegler, Director of the NTRA Safety and Integrity Alliance. " Recognizing the importance of their commitment and encouraging others to emulate their efforts will be fruitful in the goal of caring for horses from cradle to grave."
