			<title>Horse and Cattle Associations Team Up to Provide Livestock Neglect Investigation Training</title>
			<description>Lexington, KY, July 17, 2009 &#8211; Continuing education for animal control and law enforcement officials in the investigation of cruelty to livestock is now available in Kentucky. The Kentucky Horse Council (KHC) partnered with the Kentucky Cattlemen&#8217;s Association (KCA) to develop a three day training for investigators which includes education on identifying neglect in horses and other equines, cattle, sheep, goats, and swine.  The hands-on course is a continuation of the Level I Equine Abuse Investigation Training taught regularly by KHC throughout the state. Prior Level I course attendees working in law enforcement and animal control may apply for admission to the Level II Livestock Neglect course.  Educating those responsible for investigating livestock neglect improves the condition of horses and all livestock throughout the Commonwealth.
