|Fee and Scholarship Information for Livestock Investigation Training|
Livestock Investigation Training (LIT), offered by the Kentucky Horse Council, is a two-day class with an optional first day for those who are not familiar with handling horses, understanding behavior and basic colors and markings. See the detailed agenda for both the optional first day, and the 2nd and 3rd day topics.
Officials are strongly encouraged to attend all three days of both livestock investigation trainings to realize the full benefit of the course.
LIT has both Level I and Level II classes. Level I is offered to all Animal Control Officials, Humane Investigators, and Law Enforcement Officials. Level II is offered to all officials who have attended Level I and scored 85% or higher on the exit exam.
Fees: Both Level I and Level II Classes:
Fee can be pre-paid or invoiced after the class. All checks should be made payable to Kentucky Horse Council. Full information is found on the application.
PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS are available to participants on a first come-first serve basis. Scholarships are limited, so please get your request in early.
Scholarship requests are included as page 2 in the LIT Class Application. They should be sent in to the Kentucky Horse Council together.
