2007 Kentucky Horse Council Scholarships
The spring, 2007 recipients of the KHC Scholarships are:
Mackenzie Brewer, Hazel Green, Kentucky. Mackenzie attends the University of Kentucky majoring in Animal Science with a Pre-Vet Option. In high school she served as President of both the Senior Class and the area FFA chapter and devotes much of her time to community activities such as fundraisers for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the Shriner’s Hospital
Christina Campbell, Elizabethtown, KY. Christina is currently attending Midway College pursuing a degree in Equine Business. She has been an active member in the Kentucky State 4H Horse Program, the National FFA Organization and the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association.
Rebecca Lloyd, Corinth, KY. Rebecca is attending the University of Kentucky majoring in Equine Production/Management. The mother of three young children, she is a member of the University Equestrian Team and the Horse Judging Team.
The fall, 2007 recipients of the KHC Scholarships are:
Christopher Bellis-Jones, Paris, KY. Chris is attending Eastern Kentucky University majoring in Pre-Veterinary Medicine and minors in Biology. He is active in the Pinto Organization of Kentucky and the 4-H club. Chris has participated in the organization of the St. Jude Saddle Up Fund Raising Event for the past ten years. Additionally he works as an outrider for the Rolex Kentucky Three Day Event and volunteers on weekends with an area veterinarian.
Savannah Faye Craddock, Lexington, KY. Savannah attends the University of Kentucky where she is working on a double major in Agricultural Education and Agricultural Communications. A member of the Kentucky Quarter Horse Association and the American Quarter Horse Association, Savannah is currently involved with the University of Kentucky College of Agriculture Equine Initiative. She is a member of the University of Kentucky Equestrian Team.
Andrea Seybert, Versailles, KY. Andrea is a student at Midway College where she majors in Psychology and Equine Studies. Her volunteer experiences include the Kentucky Special Olympics State Equestrian Event, the Jessamine County Jazz Ensemble, Francisco's Farm Art Festival and Citizen's Create Public Art, and more. Andrea maintains certification through Equine Assisted Growth and Learning Association and is a current member of the American Saddlebred Horse Association. Andrea is a member of the Midway College Stock Seat Equestrian Team.
