About the Event
The Kentucky Horse Council provides Livestock Investigation Training to Animal Control Officers, Sheriffs, and other Kentucky law enforcement officials and prosecutors throughout the Commonwealth. A Level I class is offered once per year, and a Level II class is conducted once yearly if needed.
Both three day courses are approved as Continuing Education for Peace Officers by the Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice Training.
Courses include extensive hands-on livestock activities. Whenever possible the courses are offered at a Kentucky College or University with an equine and livestock production program. Faculty from the institution frequently instruct investigators on their area of expertise.
